RIKU KUWADA

Born in 2000. Graduated from Waseda University, School of International Liberal Studies. Having attended four international schools growing up, Riku cultivated a unique global perspective. His path into filmmaking began as a creative escape during the COVID-19 quarantine, where he was captivated by the artistry of visual storytelling. This passion led him to launch his career as a Director of Photography in 2021 and to create the team GRAPHIX. In 2024, Riku moved to Toronto to embrace a new cultural landscape, further broadening his vision and refining his approach to filmmaking. During his time there, he gained experience in lighting techniques for different skin tones, explored the use of virtual production and robots, and acquired invaluable insights into innovative filmmaking practices.
